Chair Omar Maatouk
Omar is a second-year MBA student at Columbia Business School, where he focuses on the intersection of technology and entrepreneurship. Prior to attending CBS, Omar was a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, where he advised social sector clients in the education, arts, and culture space. He holds a degree in Political Economy from UC Berkeley.
Board Member Chinmoi Nathan
Chinmoi is a second-year MBA student at Columbia Business School, where she is interested in learning about entrepreneurship, finance and management. Prior to CBS, Chinmoi worked in Fixed Income at Morgan Stanley and Nomura, where she specialized in optimizing financial operations and reducing costs for the firms. She holds a degree in Mass Media from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai.
Board Member Daniel Shand
Daniel is a second-year MBA student at Columbia Business School, and is a member of the Value Investing Program. Prior to attending CBS, Daniel was a Vice president at Moelis & Company, where he advised small cap to mid-market companies on mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations / restructurings, and equity capital market transactions. Separately, Daniel is a Non-Executive Director of 10x10 Philanthropy, a non-profit organization that drives social innovation for the next generation of philanthropists. He holds a B.Com. from the University of New South Wales, Sydney.
Board Member Denetrias Charlemagne
Dee is a second-year MBA student at Columbia Business School, where she is focused on learning everything about finance and its application to early stage startups and her own entrepreneurial ideas. Dee comes from a creative advertising and marketing background having worked for WPP, VICE, Ogilvy and most recently Joan, a female-found creative agency and media company. She holds a degree in Psychology from Harvard University. Past clients include: Blackrock, Bose, Colgate Starbucks, General Mills, Under Armour, and YouTube.
Board Member Alisha Mehndiratta
Alisha is a second-year MBA student at Columbia Business School, where she focuses on data-driven marketing and strategy. She spent the summer on the Product & Marketing team at Wayfair, leading the development of marketing strategy for an emerging business within the company. Previously, Alisha worked as an equity research analyst at Goldman Sachs, covering the Energy sector, and spent some time on the Internal Strategy team at JPMorgan Chase. She holds a degree in Applied Accounting & Finance from Fordham University.
Board Member John Mihovics
John is a second-year MBA student, focused on media and technology. Prior to business school, he worked at a hedge fund on the legal and operations teams. This summer, he is interning in the Technology, Media & Telecom Group at the investment bank Lazard. John also sits on the junior board of The GO Project, a non-profit offering year-round academic assistance to low-income children in New York City. He holds a B.A. in Social Science from Providence College.
